About Yopic e.V.
editYopic e.V., founded in the early 90s under the leadership of Jens Inti Habermann, stands for "Young People for International Cooperation". Originally aimed at preparing young people for development cooperation, Yopic's field of activity has significantly expanded over the last three decades. Today, the association promotes the potential of people of all ages and from all walks of life to support them in a rapidly changing world.
Key Products and Services
editYopic e.V. designs and organizes a variety of educational, research, and integration projects. These include conferences, seminars, and study tours aimed at imparting knowledge and skills. The association offers training in German as a foreign language, literacy, vocational preparation and orientation, as well as in leadership, communication, and rhetoric. In addition, Yopic e.V. provides consulting services in the areas of career counseling, start-up consulting, and regional development. Coaching and moderation in professional and decision-making processes, as well as mediation and conflict management, round out the offerings.
Mission and Values
editThe mission of Yopic e.V. is to open up perspectives for people, instill courage, and ignite confidence. The association is committed to supporting disadvantaged groups, whether they are older people, youth, women, persecuted individuals, or people with a migration background. Yopic e.V. also helps small businesses, committed companies, and social institutions to assert themselves and become visible in a changing world. The association works to overcome boundaries when economic, technical, and social change intersect.
Sustainability Goals and Initiatives
editYopic e.V. is actively engaged in sustainability and environmental protection. One example is the "be inspired" project, launched in 2019 to impart skills that reduce the CO2 footprint at the local level. Another significant project is the "EU-Walz", which combines the traditional idea of wandering journeymen with the modern demands of the European labor market. These initiatives demonstrate Yopic e.V.'s commitment to a sustainable future and the promotion of environmentally conscious practices.
International Cooperation
editYopic e.V. collaborates with a network of 14 European partner institutions from 9 countries, as well as 27 other partner institutions. This international cooperation enables the association to realize transnational projects and promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
With a team of 8 permanent employees and 17 freelance teachers, trainers, and consultants, Yopic e.V. is well-positioned to fulfill its mission and exert a positive influence on society. The association is supported by the EU as well as federal ministries, municipalities, employment agencies, and job centers, which enables its projects at regional, national, and international levels.
