editThe Stiftung Evangelische Jugendhilfe St. Johannis Bernburg is a leading independent provider of child and youth welfare in Saxony-Anhalt. With a wide range of services and facilities, the foundation offers comprehensive support in the areas of outpatient and inpatient youth welfare, educational assistance, childcare, education, vocational promotion and training, youth social work, migration and intercultural work, as well as religious education and foster care.
Mission and Values
editThe foundation aims to enable young people to achieve optimal development, allowing them to grow into responsible and self-determined individuals. Shaped by the values of freedom and responsibility, the foundation creates spaces for development, protection, and play, to accept and promote the whole person in their uniqueness. The work of the foundation inspires the further development of life perspectives and strengthens belief in one's own abilities.
Sustainability Goals and Initiatives
editSustainability is a central component of the foundation's work. An example of this is the Ökostation Neugattersleben, which not only serves as an educational facility but also contributes to ecological awareness through projects like the planting initiative "Otto pflanzt!" Recently, 410 trees and shrubs were planted here to promote environmental education and make an active contribution to environmental protection.
Educational and Care Offers
editThe foundation operates several educational institutions, including the International Stiftungsgymnasium Magdeburg and the Stiftung Secondary School for Agriculture, Technology, and Crafts in Alsleben. These schools offer innovative educational approaches and promote intercultural competencies. Additionally, the Stiftung Fachschule für Sozialwesen "St. Johannis" offers part-time training programs tailored to the needs of the modern labor market.
Engagement and Community
