The Röchling Stiftung is a non-profit organization dedicated to the responsible and environmentally friendly use of plastics. In light of the global challenges posed by plastic waste, the foundation advocates for a world where technological progress contributes to the preservation of natural resources rather than jeopardizing them. Eco-Label for Plastics: In collaboration with the Technical University of Chemnitz, a certification process for plastic components is being developed that considers their entire life cycle.
Research Against Plastic Waste: Support for projects such as the biological decomposition of plastic by wax moth larvae.
Project Ocean Clean Up: Funding for the catamaran SeeKuh, which collects plastic waste from the oceans, as well as the development of the SeeElefant for maritime recycling concepts.
