The focus of the pedagogical work is on movement, music, religious education and language. Through diverse offers in these areas, the children are encouraged in their creativity, their self-confidence and their social skills. The Kita has stimulating rooms and play areas that offer children a variety of opportunities to play and learn.
In addition, the Kita St. Raphael is a certified Familienzentrum NRW. In this function, it expands its offer to include family-related services. These include information and advice from specialist services as well as offers for family education. The Kita cooperates with other institutions and organizations to ensure a broad spectrum of help and support for families in the community. Thus, the daycare center becomes a meeting place and hub for families. The Familienzentrum offers, among other things, theme evenings, counseling sessions (e.g. debt counseling, educational and family counseling), mediation to cooperation partners (e.g. childcare, health department, early intervention) and courses for children and parents.
