
The Institut für Klimaschutz, Energie & Mobilität (IKEM) is a non-profit think tank and registered association (e.V.) dedicated to exploring energy-transition pathways towards a sustainable society. It focuses on the interactions between the legal, economic, and political frameworks of climate protection, energy, and mobility. With over 50 scientists and its headquarters in Berlin, IKEM has been active since 2009 and operates two locations. Since 2017, it has held Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
