About Deutscher Gemeinschafts-Diakonieverband e.V.
editThe Deutscher Gemeinschafts-Diakonieverband e.V. (DGD) is a diaconal-missionary network that has been committed to people for over 125 years. With over 100 facilities and more than 5,000 employees, the DGD is one of the largest diaconal employers in Germany.
The DGD network offers a wide range of work areas, including health and care, communities, Lebensparks, media and mission, community work, guest houses, training and various services. The focus is always on the individual.
The mission of the DGD is to support people in different life situations and offer them perspectives. The Christian values of the association shape the actions and working methods in all areas. These include charity, respect, appreciation and a holistic view of people.
The DGD is committed to the future-oriented and sustainable development of its facilities and offers. For example, the founding of the DGD-Lebenspark-Genossenschaft creates the opportunity for residents and interested parties to actively participate in shaping their living environment. The association values innovation and adaptation to social changes in order to meet the needs of the people.
The DGD not only offers services and support, but also opportunities for voluntary work and donations. The DGDnet magazine regularly provides information about news, events and personal stories from the network.
