About Diakonie RWL
editThe Diakonie RWL (Diakonisches Werk Rheinland-Westfalen-Lippe e.V.) is one of the largest diaconal state associations and umbrella organizations of independent welfare in Germany. As an interest group, it represents around 5,000 Protestant social institutions in North Rhine-Westphalia, parts of Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and Hesse.
The Diakonie RWL and its members actively shape social life and make good things possible for people in different life situations. The spectrum of facilities is broad and includes Protestant hospitals, facilities for elderly and disabled care, training centers, facilities for child and youth welfare, as well as open social work and counseling centers.
