Student Assistant – Development Team (gn)

We are looking for a Student Assistant - Development (gn) for part-time work (20 hours per week) to start September 2026.The Development Team advances the university's strategic goals through fundraising and building strong partnerships.

You will be working closely with Principal Development Operations on research, data entry and maintenance, and event coordination.

Your tasks:

Carry out data entry and maintenance within the CRM system.
Support in reporting and analysis, using Microsoft Excel and online tools.
Conduct research on prospective partnerships and support in due diligence checks.
Support the drafting and distribution of communications materials via online mass mailing system or mail merge, ensuring timely and effective outreach.
Proof-reading and translating texts between English and German.
Support the planning and execution of Development Team events in Berlin, arranging venue, catering, and on-site support as needed.
Provide general administrative support as required.

Your profile:

Applicants must be an enrolled student at a German university. Hertie School students cannot be considered for this position due to data protection.
Proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken.
Very good knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Basic experience in data and project management is an advantage.
Able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
