About us
Tausche Bildung für Wohnen Hamburg e.V., established in 2022, is the first social franchise location of an acclaimed parent organization. It promotes educational equity by engaging young adults as education mentors (Bildungspat:innen) for children in the structurally disadvantaged Hamburg-Steilshoop district. In return, mentors receive rent-free housing, a monthly stipend, and a qualification program. From summer 2023, its "Tauschbar" learning center in Steilshoop-Nord will support up to 100 children.
