As the world's largest NGO for direct democracy, it has been strengthening democratic structures since 1988. The organization offers specialized consultation on citizen initiatives, citizen councils, and citizen participation in climate protection. With two federal offices in Berlin and Tempelhof, complemented by 15 state associations, it boasts a comprehensive national network. It regularly publishes reports and the "demokratie!-Magazin" to disseminate analysis and information on direct democracy.
