editThe State Association for Cultural Youth Education Thüringen e.V. (LKJ) is the central umbrella and professional association for actors in cultural children and youth education in Thüringen. As a recognized provider of independent youth services, the LKJ brings together over 30 state-wide professional organizations and state associations, which include around 1100 clubs, ensembles, groups, and working groups.

edit- Consultation and Networking: The LKJ advises its members, connects them with each other, and promotes professional exchange between the organizations.
- Voluntary Services: In collaboration with cultural institutions in Thüringen, the LKJ offers voluntary services such as the Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) Culture and the Federal Voluntary Service (BFD) Culture and Education. These services enable young people between 16 and 26 years old to gain practical experience in the cultural sector and realize their own ideas[5].
- Projects and Initiatives: The LKJ is the sponsor of various own projects aimed at promoting cultural participation, social involvement, and equitable living and educational opportunities for children and young people.
- Thuringian Culture Pass: Another important project is the Thuringian Culture Pass, which supports young people in participating in cultural activities.

By promoting cultural competencies and supporting young people in developing their social and professional skills, the LKJ contributes to the sustainable development of society. The LKJ is also engaged in the service center for funding, to support its members in acquiring and managing funding, thus ensuring the sustainability of their projects[1][2].
