About EIT Culture & Creativity
editEIT Culture & Creativity is the ninth Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), an institution of the European Union. This community aims to strengthen and transform the cultural and creative sectors and industries (CCSI) in Europe by connecting creatives and organizations with Europe's largest innovation network. With a holistic and open approach, EIT Culture & Creativity promotes innovations ranging from technological to artistic and from business-oriented to citizen-oriented approaches. In doing so, it enhances the appreciation and anchoring of European values and identities.

editEIT Culture & Creativity offers a variety of programs and initiatives aimed at promoting innovations in the CCSI. These include accelerator programs that help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups scale their business ideas and become globally competitive. The organization promotes interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration and creates new opportunities for all actors in the extended knowledge triangle – education, research, innovation, economy/cultural institutions, and NGOs. EIT Culture & Creativity works with small, medium, and large organizations, commercial and non-profit, as well as individual creatives and international, interdisciplinary networks across all 15 sectors of the CCSI.
