Über DRK-Blutspendedienst Nord-Ost gemeinnützige GmbH
editThe DRK-Blutspendedienst Nord-Ost gemeinnützige GmbH ensures the supply of blood products to patients in the federal states of Berlin, Brandenburg, Hamburg, Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein. As part of the German Red Cross, the organization stands for the highest ethical standards, safety and quality.
The core task is the acquisition of blood donations through the organization of blood donation appointments and informing the population about the importance of blood donation. Both whole blood donations and plasma donations are accepted. The organization also offers the possibility to register as a stem cell donor.
The DRK-Blutspendedienst Nord-Ost is actively involved in recruiting new donors and retaining existing donors. This is done, among other things, through campaigns and the provision of information about blood donation. A blood donation magazine and a podcast offer insights behind the scenes and inform about current developments.
The organization values close communication with donors and offers various services such as a digital donor service, email invitations to appointments and the possibility of online appointment booking.
The DRK-Blutspendedienst Nord-Ost relies on the support of the population to ensure the supply of vital blood products. Volunteer helpers support the organization in carrying out blood donation appointments.
