This project not only serves the education of jazz musicians but also the development of new concert formats and the international appeal of the music location Hamburg. Additionally, the foundation plans, together with the city of Hamburg, to expand the master's program in jazz and establish a jazz laboratory to create more space for rehearsals and performances[3].

In addition to the Jazz Hall, the Dr. E. A. Langner-Stiftung has also established the Hamburger Jazzpreis, which emphasizes the importance of jazz in Hamburg. Through such initiatives, the foundation aims to make Hamburg a globally recognized jazz world music city[3].
