Its work is based on three pillars: nationwide educational work, information and counseling, and intensive therapeutic treatment at its Trauma Therapy Center in Hamburg, utilizing an innovative concept. A nationwide Trauma-Info-Telefon further complements its services. Founded in 2008, Ankerland e. V. is 100 percent funded by donations, and its Trauma-Therapiezentrum gGmbH adheres to the transparency standards of the Initiative Transparente Zivilgesellschaft (ITZ).
