Founded in 2002, stiftung-trias.de is a citizen-based foundation dedicated to the interconnected themes of land, ecology, and communal living. Supported by over 250 founders and donors, its central mission is to withdraw land from market speculation. This is achieved by acquiring properties and ensuring their long-term social and ecological utilization through hereditary building rights (Erbbaurecht), thereby fostering and protecting innovative projects for living, working, and culture. The foundation has cultivated over 54 projects within its "trias-family," significantly contributing to sustainable communities. It primarily aligns with SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
