STELP e.V. - Supporter on Site
editSTELP e.V., founded in 2015 in Stuttgart, Germany, is a civil aid organization that advocates for a world where children, women, and men can live free from acute need and self-determined in dignity and safety.
Key Products and Services
editSTELP focuses on alleviating acute need through quick and uncomplicated access to food, sanitary products, clean water, and medical care. A central concern is supporting people in crisis regions, particularly in countries like Yemen, Lebanon, and other areas with significant humanitarian needs[1][4][5].
Main Mission and Values
editThe mission of STELP is to be a platform for all who are committed to social and societal issues and wish to contribute to a peaceful and fair coexistence worldwide. STELP believes in the self-determination and dignity of all people, regardless of origin, age, sexual orientation, or political and religious beliefs. The organization is dedicated to ensuring that people can sustainably shape their future on their own[1][4][5].
Sustainability Goals and Initiatives
editIn the long term, STELP aims to sustainably improve the lives of people in need through self-help assistance. This is achieved through educational projects, such as establishing soup kitchens and schools in crisis areas. In war-torn Yemen, for example, they have set up soup kitchens at seven schools, providing around 2000 schoolchildren and 90 teachers with essential meals. Additionally, they have opened a tent school for grades 1-4 and another for grades 5-8 in the Dharawan Camp[1][4].
Network and Support
editSTELP works with a network of volunteers, partner organizations, and sponsors to realize its mission. The organization is grateful for the generous support from various sectors, which ensures that every donated euro directly benefits those who need it most[4][5].
History and Development
editSTELP originated from the aid action "Balkan Route Stuttgart" in 2015, when founders Serkan Eren and Steffen Schuldis unhesitatingly helped stranded people in a refugee camp near the Macedonian border. Since then, STELP has developed into an international aid organization that supports tens of thousands of people across three continents and has protected them from illness, hunger, and homelessness[4].
Through their work and commitment, STELP demonstrates that much can be achieved together to positively change the world.
