Main mission and values
editThe main mission of Handbook Germany is to support people who are new to Germany through digital information, initial consultation, and exchange. This is done on the information platform, in the community forum, and on social media channels. The peer-to-peer approach is central, where information is researched, editorially processed, and presented by people from the respective target groups to increase the credibility and relevance of the conveyed content[2].
Sustainability goals and initiatives
editHandbook Germany is co-financed by the Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund (AMIF) of the EU and is supported by the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community, the Federal Government Commissioner for Migration, Refugees and Integration, the Federal Government Commissioner for Anti-Racism, and the International Rescue Committee. This support enables continuous improvement of the platform to meet the needs of the target groups[2].
The platform is mobile-optimized and uses social and digital media to share information on an equal footing with users. This includes weekly informational videos, animated clips like Phrase of the Day and What if…?, which convey the Basic Law[2][4].
