
Groundbreaker is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young women in Uganda. It provides fully funded, residential Software & AI training, mentorship, and career support to address the representation gap of African talent in the global AI sector. The comprehensive program on its campus in Bukerere, Uganda, enables participants to transition from zero technical background to employed software and AI professionals within 12 months. To date, 155 students have been successfully trained, boasting a 92% graduation rate and 98% employment rate. This results in an average income increase of 25x. The organization collaborates with partners to scale access to opportunities and strengthen Africa's tech ecosystem.
