GB infraVelo GmbH

GB infraVelo GmbH is a subsidiary of the state-owned Grün Berlin GmbH and was founded in 2017 on behalf of the Senate Administration for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and the Environment.

infraVelo offers a wide range of expertise, including:

• Project management and construction management: infraVelo undertakes the planning, construction and maintenance of cycle paths, bicycle parking facilities and other cycling infrastructure.
• Traffic planning and engineering services: The company develops and implements technical and administrative solutions for the expansion of the cycle network in Berlin.
• Communication and project management: infraVelo coordinates the dialogue with the districts, administrations and other actors to ensure an efficient and transparent implementation of the projects[2][3][4].

Our mission is to make Berlin more livable by strengthening the environmental network and achieving a new balance between cyclists, pedestrians and users of public transport.We are committed to sustainable urban mobility and work interdisciplinarily in teams with different expertise and talents.Our conviction: through cooperation and innovative solutions, we can drive the mobility revolution in Berlin.

infraVelo is strongly committed to promoting sustainable mobility:

• Cycling network development: We develop and build high-speed cycling links, cycle paths and bicycle parking facilities to create safe and comfortable cycling paths for all users.
• Climate-friendly transport solutions: Our projects are aimed at reducing CO2 emissions and promoting environmentally friendly transport.
• Digital solutions: We use databases and digital tools to optimise and make the planning, construction and maintenance of the cycling infrastructure transparent[4].

• Bicycle parking lots and parking facilities: infraVelo builds bicycle parking lots and parking facilities, such as at Schöneweide station, to provide safe and comfortable parking opportunities for bicycles.
• Cycle path guidance and maintenance: We clean and repair cycle path guidance and install lights along the cycle paths to increase safety and convenience.
• District steering rounds: Regular steering rounds with the districts ensure continuous dialogue and maximum transparency in the projects.

infraVelo works closely with various administrations, districts and organisations to achieve the objectives of the transport revolution.Our efforts were recognised in 2023 with a nomination for the German Sustainability Prize in the category "Pioneer of Transformation".

With our work, we are contributing to making Berlin a bicycle-friendly city where all people can move safely and environmentally.
