editThe main mission of the Flüchtlingsrat is to fight for a non-racist, solidarity-based society and to improve the living conditions of refugees. The Flüchtlingsrat advocates politically alongside refugees for their access to rights and for unrestricted social participation. The validity of human rights takes precedence for the Flüchtlingsrat over a policy of repelling refugees.
Sustainability Goals and Initiatives
edit- Right to Stay and Against Deportations: The Flüchtlingsrat fights for a genuine right to stay for all refugees and other migrants and strictly opposes deportations. Return must only occur voluntarily and self-determined.
- Equal Rights and Integration: The Flüchtlingsrat demands equal rights for all and rejects the exclusion and isolation of refugees through accommodation in camps.
- Statewide Representation: The Flüchtlingsrat is represented in various committees, such as the State Integration Council, the Hardship Commission of the State of Brandenburg, and on the board of the Action Alliance Brandenburg against Violence, Right-Wing Extremism, and Xenophobia.
Current Initiatives and Engagement
editThe Flüchtlingsrat is active statewide in civil society alliances and initiatives and participates in projects such as "TOGETHER WE STAY!" and "VASiB Project," which aim to promote the integration and participation of refugees. Through its work in these areas, the Flüchtlingsrat significantly contributes to improving living conditions and promoting the social integration of refugees.
