About Landesverband Badisches Rotes Kreuz

The Landesverband Badisches Rotes Kreuz is part of the national and international Red Cross and Red Crescent movement. In accordance with the Red Cross principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality, the association is committed to helping people in emergency situations, both in Germany and worldwide.

The core tasks of the Badisches Rotes Kreuz include the ambulance service, civil protection and welfare and social work. The association offers a wide range of services, including offers for seniors, children, young people and families, as well as support for migrants and refugees. Another focus is on training and further education in various areas, such as first aid, rescue services and social work.

The Badisches Rotes Kreuz is also an important provider of voluntary services. Every year, the association arranges around 1300 places for the Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) and the Federal Volunteer Service (BFD), making it one of the largest providers in Baden. In addition, the "weltwärts" program enables young people from Germany to volunteer in Latin America and welcomes volunteers from Latin America in southern Baden.

The Badisches Rotes Kreuz takes responsibility in civil and disaster protection and is committed to promoting diversity and integration in society. By supporting the medico-social center in Lviv, the association also makes an important contribution to humanitarian aid abroad.

The Landesverband Badisches Rotes Kreuz is currently increasingly involved in the area of the Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ) and will be offering 20 places from September 2025. In addition, the association's "weltwärts Incoming Program" has again been positively evaluated, which underlines the high quality of the international voluntary services.
