    About Diakonieverband Reutlingen

The Diakonieverband Reutlingen, founded in 2001, is a social service provider that, with its diverse offerings, is aimed at people in different life situations. Supported by the Protestant church districts of Bad Urach, Münsingen, Reutlingen and Tübingen, the association sees itself as an advocate for people who, for various reasons, are on the margins of society.

The range of services offered by the Diakonieverband is broad and includes counseling services in the areas of addiction, psychology, pregnancy, debt, migration and domestic violence. In addition, the association offers support in financial emergencies through food banks, second-hand stores and projects such as "Sterntaler" and "#miteinander", which is specifically tailored to the increased energy costs.

Particular attention is paid to promoting encounters and participation through offers such as "TrauDe" for people aged 60 and over, the Reutlingen Vesperkirche, the Hohbuch Quartierscafé and the Donnerstags Club. Children, young people and families are also supported through special counseling services and projects such as "NatureKids". In the area of migration and flight, the Diakonieverband offers asylum work, migration counseling and the project "KAP-international – Keine Angst vor Papierkram".

The Diakonieverband Reutlingen sees itself as an association that acts together, socially and in the middle of life. It is committed to human dignity, charity and cohesion. The values of the association are reflected in its commitment to democracy and human rights, as expressed, for example, in the "Bündnis für Demokratie und Menschenrechte" in Münsingen.

The Diakonieverband Reutlingen employs around 85 people and can count on the support of over 800 volunteers at 10 locations. Through cooperation with other organizations and membership in the Liga der Freien Wohlfahrtspflege, a broad network is used to ensure the best possible support for the people in the region.
