Your Voluntary Service in Germany
Volunteering in Germany – would that be something for you? Would you like to spend a year in social, ecological, and diaconal areas?
Taking part in an international voluntary service programme in Germany offers you the chance to get to know a new country and a different culture, to share the everyday lives of people, to develop intercultural and language skills, to take on new challenges and to grow as a result.
Through your volunteer work, you can discover your skills, recognize and cross boundaries, experience community, and support others with your commitment. You will be accompanied and supported by the educational coordinators of the Evangelische Freiwilligendienste and by the instructors at the deployment sites.
The Evangelische Freiwilligendienste support you as a sponsor if you come from abroad to Germany to perform a Voluntary Year.
Programs
With us, you can complete a voluntary service through the „weltwärts“ program.
The weltwärts program was launched in 2008 by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to support young people in their commitment to the One World. weltwärts stands for development policy engagement, global learning and encounters at eye level. weltwärts brings together people in and from Germany, Asia, Africa, Latin America, Oceania and Eastern Europe together. The program focuses on non-formal learning through mutual exchange and strengthening international partnerships.
