Position Summary:

Teacher of IB MYP and IB DP German Language and Literature & German Language Acquisition in Secondary School.

Responsibilities:

• Teach IB MYP & DP German Language and Literature and G erman Language Acquisition in grades six through twelve • Communicate and meet with parents • Ensure that the individual learning needs of all pupils are met • Record and share with pupils and parents assessment data at regular intervals during the school year • Collaborate with colleagues from within and outside of the Modern Languages Department • Engage in professional development • Attend departmental and other meetings

Qualifications:

Applicants must have suitable subject and teaching qualifications. Experience with MYP and teaching the IB DP, German Language and Literature and German Language Acquisition , is desired. Training in current methodology in the teaching of language learners at the Secondary level is recommended, as is some experience or familiarity with ManageBac. We are seeking applicants who are familiar with data -driven decision making or a willing minds et to learn how to do so.

Terms of Employment:

• Starting date is 1 August 202 6

• The position is initially limited until 31 July 202 7, with an option for an extension thereafter

• The position is a part -time position
