As a surveying technician, you are responsible for carrying out surveys and evaluating measurement data, which includes collecting geodetic data, drawing up plans and supporting the planning and implementation of construction projects, using modern measurement techniques and software solutions to achieve precise results and ensure the quality of the data.
The average salary for surveying technicians in Germany varies, however, it is about 34,000 euros gross per year. The range ranges from 30,000 euros to 44,500 euros, depending on professional experience. Starters earn about 24,895 euros, while experienced surveying technicians can earn up to 54,901 euros. In certain regions, such as Baden-Württemberg and Hesse, the average salary is higher at 35,500 euros. In eastern Germany, the salary can be only 29,500 euros.
In order to work as a surveying technician, training as a geomaticist or studying surveying is usually required. Practical knowledge and experience in the application of surveying technology as well as good mathematical and geometrical knowledge are also an advantage.
