WASH Program Manager
(Part-Time)
Who we are
We are a non-pro fi t organization based in Berlin, providing clean water for textile workers and their
communities to improve their health through promoting human well-being, ecosystem restoration &
industry education.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on WASH Program Manager to run our RESTORE programs
(30h/week) and secure the resources necessary to scale them. Your work will be divided into two main
pillars:
RESTORE : As the lead for our fl agship program, you are responsible for the strategic development
and operational success of our water, health and sanitation projects in the Global South.
• Strategic Program Development : Further develop the RESTORE framework, aligning it with
global sustainability goals and the needs of the textile industry.
• Partner Management (Corporate & Global South Partners) : Act as the primary interface
between fashion brands and our partners in the Global South. You build solid, trust-based
relationships across both sides of the partnership.
• Operational Project Management : Oversee the entire project lifecycle - from conceptualization
to implementation. This includes concept development, pitching, monitoring, evaluation and
learning (MEL) to ensure meaningful and lasting impact.
• Advocacy Integration : Coordinate projects that bridge the gap between factory wastewater
challenges and clean water resources, engaging brands and, where relevant, policymakers.
• External Communication : Regularly communicate project progress and provide content for our
channels (Newsletter, LinkedIn).
FUNDRAISING : To ensure the long-term growth of our programs, you will play a key role in securing
fi nancial support and expanding our network.
• Institutional Fundraising : Identify, approach, and manage relationships with institutional
donors, foundations, and public funding bodies. You will lead the preparation and submission of
high-quality proposals and reports.
• Acquisition of Corporate Partners : Proactively identify, recruit and build a solid relationship
with new corporate partners who are willing to invest in water stewardship, the improvement of
the daily lives of workers in their supply chains as well as supply chain resilience.
Experience & Background
• Educational background or professional training in a relevant fi eld (e.g. development
cooperation, sustainability, environmental sciences, social sciences or related disciplines)
• 3+ years of work experience in the fi eld of water resources and WASH in collaboration with
partners in the Global South, preferably in South Asian countries
• Experience in the fashion and textile sector is a signi fi cant advantage
• 3+ years of professional experience in complex project management, stakeholder management,
and reporting
• Proven experience in acquiring institutional funding or corporate partnerships is a signi fi cant
advantage
• Willingness to critically re fl ect on decolonial approaches and power dynamics in our
partnerships across the Global North and Global South
• Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire di ff erent audiences
• Experience with communicating project developments externally, mainly on LinkedIn, in our
Newsletter and on Instagram
• Fluent in written and spoken German (C1 level or above) and English (C1 level or above)
What we off er
• 30 hours per week with fl exible scheduling
• Salary of 3,000 € gross monthly salary (based on TVöD E10.1, with planned salary increases as
funding grows)
• High degree of strategic co-determination and responsibility within a small mission-driven,
interdisciplinary team
• Remote, hybrid work or o ffi ce-based work in Berlin-Neukölln, with only two mandatory in-person
3-day strategic team meetings per year
• 30+ vacation days annually + organizational closure from 24 December to 1 January (5
additional days)
• Full pay for sick leave used to care for children or other family members requiring care
