About ZuBaKa
editZuBaKa, short for "Zukunftsbaukasten", is a non-profit social enterprise based in Frankfurt am Main, Mannheim, and Bensheim. Our main goal is to promote educational equity by providing children and young people with a migration background the necessary resources to successfully navigate the education system. We are committed to ensuring that origin and social conditions do not pose barriers to educational opportunities.
Key Products and Services
editZuBaKa offers a variety of programs specifically tailored to the needs of students requiring language support. Our school projects are closely integrated with everyday school life and provide long-term support in intensive and regular classes. The projects include "Arriving in School and City", "Language & Media", "Career Orientation", and "We Create Together". In addition, we offer holiday camps and project weeks that provide intensive support in compact formats, such as preparation for school leaving exams or introduction to digital topics.
Mission and Values
editOur mission is to create a world with more educational equity. We promote a positive self-perception, language skills, and the courage to develop one's own ideas. Our work is based on the values of participation, sustainability, reflection, strengths orientation, and innovative thinking. We work participatively with students, schools, and other stakeholders in the education sector to dismantle power and discrimination structures and create opportunities for participation.
Sustainability Goals and Initiatives
editSustainability is a central component of our work. We act responsibly with ecological and economic resources and promote a long-term positive impact. Our team places great importance on the health, energy, and time of our employees and conveys this attitude in our projects. Through continuous reflection and critical questioning, we promote a positive learning and error culture that creates clarity and transparency in our processes.
Unique Approach
editZuBaKa does not offer one-size-fits-all solutions but relies on individualized educational components that are oriented to actual needs. Our programs are developed in close collaboration with school management, teachers, social educators, and students to establish tailored additional offerings for intensive classes. With a team of around 25 employees, we are active in school projects in the Rhine-Main area and Rhine-Neckar and manage our projects from our locations in Frankfurt and Mannheim.
ZuBaKa is proud to be an impact-oriented company that exerts a positive influence on society through innovative educational projects and a strong community orientation.
