The Zentrum für Bildung und Chancen (ZBC) in Kreis Gütersloh gGmbH is passionately committed to improving educational processes and promoting educational opportunities for children, adolescents and young adults in the region. With the guiding principle "Creating opportunities, shaping the future - together for education!" the ZBC pursues the goal of promoting the potential and talents of all children and decoupling their educational opportunities from their social background.

The ZBC realizes this through a variety of projects and offers aimed at daycare centers, primary schools, secondary schools, special schools and vocational colleges. These projects cover a broad spectrum, including improving reading skills, strengthening (digital) media literacy and quality development in all-day care.

A special focus is on long-term and interlinked projects that aim to sustainably improve daycare quality and school lessons. The ZBC offers qualifications for daycare staff, school principals and teachers in order to strengthen them in their role and professionalism. Paths and goals are agreed, tested and reflected together with the participants to ensure that the experiences and results directly reach the children and young people.

The ZBC pursues a systemic approach based on the following principles:

• Promoting the potential and talents of all children: Every child should be supported in their education and personal development in such a way that they can develop their potential well.
• Connection to existing local resources: The work of the ZBC builds on existing measures in the municipalities and pursues common goals.
• Qualifications for education actors: Process-oriented and long-term qualification measures strengthen education actors in their role and professionalism.
• Proven solutions for education partners: Those affected are involved in the development and implementation of measures to ensure integration into the respective system and sustainability.
• Reflection, evaluation and data-based control: Experiences are reflected, projects are evaluated and controlled using data in order to create a self-learning system.
• Long-term support: The ZBC offers its cooperation partners long-term support on site and creates short decision-making paths.

Under the umbrella of the ZBC, two large project areas are united: "School and digital education" and the "Allianz für Bildung und Chancen". These projects aim to improve educational opportunities through coordinated development processes in daycare centers and schools and to support schools in Kreis Gütersloh in integrating digital education.

The ZBC sees itself as a partner for educational institutions and municipalities in Kreis Gütersloh and contributes to shaping a future-proof educational landscape in which all children and young people have the same opportunities to develop their full potential.
