About NEUES BERLIN
editNEUES BERLIN is a housing cooperative that has been providing its members with a home since 1957. With over 7000 members and over 5000 apartments in seven residential complexes, NEUES BERLIN shapes the place where people can live and feel comfortable.
The focus is on the cooperative idea, which is based on co-determination, solidarity and the joint design of the living environment. NEUES BERLIN relies on a cooperative corporate culture and a solution-oriented attitude in order to improve coexistence together with members, employees and partners.
NEUES BERLIN offers its members a wide range of services related to housing. These include the "Mein NB" member portal for easy online processing of requests, a caretaker service as a direct contact person on site and the option of renting guest apartments for visitors. Regular events such as the WOHNTAG promote exchange and a sense of community.
A key concern of NEUES BERLIN is the fair and transparent allocation of living space. From 2025, new allocation principles will apply, which will ensure a fairer distribution of living space and promote more efficient use of existing resources. The aim is to offer more people a home and contribute to combating the housing shortage in Berlin.
