    The Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, also known as Wiko, is a renowned institution that has been providing outstanding scholars and artists from around the world the opportunity to focus on their own research projects for an academic year since 1981. Free from administrative obligations, the fellows can work and live in an inspiring environment in Berlin's Grunewald.

    The Wissenschaftskolleg annually offers about 40 fellows and short-term fellows from various disciplines, including humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, the opportunity to advance their research. In addition to scholars, artists, composers, authors, and journalists are also invited to promote interdisciplinary dialogues. The fellows have access to an extensive library and can participate in a variety of events, colloquia, and workshops.
