Widar Schule

The Widar Schule is a state-recognized, single-track Waldorf school in Bochum-Wattenscheid that has grown continuously since its founding in 1979. Today, it offers space for over 400 students and has a dedicated team of around 40 teachers and numerous other employees.

• Educational Offer: The school offers all qualifications up to the Abitur and places great emphasis on promoting personality as well as emotional and social skills.
• Subject Offer: Over 30 subjects, including natural sciences and humanities, craft and artistic areas such as woodworking, blacksmithing and dance.
• Afternoon Care: Open afternoon care for grades 1 to 4 and compulsory all-day operation for grades 5 to 11 with meals provided by the school's own cafeteria.

The Widar Schule follows the principles of Waldorf education, which aims to enable students to develop their own judgment and comprehension. It should encourage them to see the world with open eyes and actively participate in it. The school attaches great importance to the formation of personality and promotes emotional and social skills.
