VIA e.V., the Verein für internationalen und interkulturellen Austausch, is a non-profit organization established in 1992 that is non-partisan and non-denominational. Our goal is to promote international contacts, raise awareness of other cultures, and foster tolerance.

• Voluntary Services and Internships: We place young people in voluntary services, longer and shorter internships, as well as stays with host families, both in Germany and abroad.
• Intercultural Trainings: We offer training for staff in intercultural programs and support projects in development cooperation.
• European and Worldwide Placements: We coordinate volunteers from European and non-European countries in various hosting projects across Germany, including the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program.
• Consultation and Support: We provide free, neutral, and independent advice to young people about stays abroad and offer support throughout the entire voluntary service.

Our mission is to build bridges between different cultures, people of diverse backgrounds, views, values, and languages. We promote tolerance and solidarity in a globalized world by giving young people the opportunity to live and work together, learn from each other, and broaden their horizons.

• Inclusion: We strive to include volunteers who face difficulties participating in activities due to disabilities, geographical barriers, or health issues.
• International Cooperation: We are a member of the Europe-wide Eurodesk network and work closely with various partners from academia and industry to promote international exchange programs.
• Quality Management: Our work is certified by the European Solidarity Corps Quality Label, which confirms our ability to implement projects in accordance with the principles and goals of the European Solidarity Corps.
