editThe University Alliance 11+ (UA11+) is a dynamic association of currently 15 medium-sized, research- and transfer-strong universities in Germany. This alliance was founded to make the specific interests and strengths of its member universities visible and to represent them to politics and the public.
Member Universities and Regional Significance
editThe UA11+ includes universities from eight federal states, including Bielefeld, Greifswald, TU Kaiserslautern, Magdeburg, Paderborn, Passau, Potsdam, Universität des Saarlandes, Trier, Ulm, Wuppertal, and Siegen. These universities are distinguished not only by their internationally visible research excellence but also by their supporting roles in structural development, economic promotion, and innovation competence in their respective regions[2][3].

The association has its own office in Berlin and is open to new members who meet the formulated requirements[2][3].
