Theater Traumschüff

The Traumschüff gemeinnützige eG is a unique traveling theater that has been operating since 2017 with a self-built stage catamaran, bringing theater, culture, and community to places that otherwise have little cultural offerings. Our goal is to bring together people from different social groups and create a space for encounter and exchange.

• Theater Productions: We offer a variety of plays that are performed during the summer months at various tour stops along the Havel and in winter at our winter venue in Oranienburg.
• Open Stages: Anyone can perform on our stage, whether with music, cabaret, poetry, clowning, dance, or other art forms.
• Shore Music and Concerts: Music events that further enhance the atmosphere of our floating stage.
• Workshops and Theater Activities: Interactive offerings where the audience can actively participate.
• Digital Formats: We are expanding our offerings through digital formats to reach a broader audience.

Our mission is to make culture accessible to everyone, regardless of age, education, or income. We are committed to ensuring that theater and culture are experienced not only in urban centers but also in rural areas. Our values are based on inclusion, community, and cultural diversity.

• Ecological Sustainability: Our ship is powered by solar, wind, and pedal energy, minimizing our environmental impact.
• Social Sustainability: Through our Open Stages and interactive offerings, we promote social exchange and the integration of various social groups.
• Cultural Sustainability: We continuously develop new cultural offerings and performance venues to enrich the cultural landscape in the regions where we are active.

Starting in September 2024, we have decided to focus more on artistic work and will no longer operate the "Theater im Werk" in Oranienburg. Instead, we are launching a new creative phase with the rehearsals of the Bürger*Bühne Oranienburg and the preparation of our new play "For the Good of the People," which is set to premiere in spring 2025. Additionally, we offer our program in Oranienburg with free admission and rely on donations to continue our work.

With our commitment, we contribute to keeping culture and community alive and evolving even in remote regions.
