The foundation also advocates for the promotion of species knowledge through the Berlin Network for Species Knowledge (BerNA).

With programs like the "Long Day of Urban Nature" and the Nature Conservation Academy Berlin, the SNB offers workshops and seminars to expand knowledge about nature and environmental protection. The Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ) and the Ecological Federal Volunteer Service (ÖBFD) provide young people with the opportunity to actively engage in environmental protection and gain valuable experience.
