editThe Stadtjugendring Leipzig e.V. is an association of 41 committed clubs and organizations dedicated to youth association work and youth work in Leipzig. Since its founding in 1990, the association has advocated for the interests of young people and represents them both in public and to politics and professional audiences. The Stadtjugendring provides a platform for the self-organization and representation of young people's interests and promotes their active participation in political and social decision-making processes.

editThe Stadtjugendring Leipzig e.V. offers a variety of programs and initiatives aimed at strengthening the voluntary engagement of young people. These include the Juleica training, the Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) Politics, and the organization of the U18 elections. These programs provide young people with the opportunity to actively participate in society and take on responsibility. The association also organizes holiday camps and tent camps that serve as learning and experience places beyond school and family.

The association has signed the Erfurt Declaration for the strengthening of democracy and actively advocates for the inclusion and participation of young people with disabilities and migration backgrounds. Furthermore, the association sees digitalization as an opportunity for youth work and has developed a pioneering digitalization strategy to shape the future of youth association work.
Engagement and Networking
editThe Stadtjugendring Leipzig e.V. is active in numerous networks and committees to represent the interests of its members and the children and young people in Leipzig. These include the youth welfare committee, the specialist working group on youth association work, and the working group of large city youth rings. The association promotes exchange and networking among youth associations and works closely with the youth welfare office and other partners to further develop youth promotion in Leipzig.
Together with its members, the Stadtjugendring Leipzig e.V. advocates for the concerns of young people and contributes to promoting a vibrant and participatory youth culture in Leipzig.
