Spitalstiftung Konstanz

The Spitalstiftung Konstanz, founded in 1225, is a municipal foundation under public law with a rich history of over 800 years. Today, it is one of the largest social service providers in Konstanz and stands for diversity, innovation and social responsibility.

• Elderly Care: The foundation operates five stationary care facilities with a total of 350 care places, as well as two assisted living communities and a day care center with 20 places.
• Outpatient Care: Around 200 people receive outpatient care.
• Further Offers: These include the Social Pediatric Center (SPZ) and the "woge" project to support people in need.
• Living Space: The foundation offers 460 apartments, also for its employees.
• Culture and Environment: It manages 164 hectares of forest, operates the Weingut Spitalkellerei winery with 20 hectares of vineyards and maintains three leased restaurants.

The main mission of the Spitalstiftung Konstanz is to ensure personal help and care for health promotion for people in need. It attaches great importance to the loving and professional care of elderly and needy people. The foundation also promotes public health care through the operation of the Klinikums Konstanz and offers support for its employees.

The Spitalstiftung Konstanz is committed to sustainability and responsible business practices. It regularly prepares a Common Good Balance Sheet, which makes its actions towards employees, the environment and society transparent. It also manages the Lorettowald responsibly in order to preserve these valuable landscapes for future generations. Another example is the SOPHIA-Garten, a community project to promote social integration.
