editSONA – Soziale Nachbarschaft für betreutes Wohnen gGmbH is a non-profit youth welfare organization that works throughout Berlin for children, adolescents, young adults, as well as pregnant women, mothers and fathers. With around 220 places in various care projects, SONA offers a wide range of support options.
The offer includes residential groups for young people and mother/father-child residential groups, assisted living as well as outpatient assistance. In addition, SONA operates two day-care centers with a total of 58 places and offers a variety of courses and counseling services in the Children-Parents-Center (KiEZ).
SONA is active in various Berlin districts, including Mitte, Moabit, Hohenschönhausen, Köpenick, Weißensee, Mahlsdorf, Lichtenberg, Wilhelmsruh, Blankenfelde, Niederschönhausen and Prenzlauer Berg. Outpatient care work is provided throughout Berlin.
SONA's goal is to offer individual and needs-based assistance to support young people and families in difficult situations and to enable them to develop positively. Through its various offers and locations, SONA creates a social network that gives those in care support and orientation.
