Solar Cluster Baden-Württemberg e.V.

The Solar Cluster Baden-Württemberg e.V. is a dynamic solar energy interest association that has served as the central contact person for the solar energy industry in Baden-Württemberg since its founding in 2012.

• The Solar Cluster promotes exchange and cooperation between companies, research institutions, municipalities and other actors in the solar energy industry. It organizes regular network events, such as the annual Solar Branch Day, which serves as the central platform for the solar industry in Baden-Württemberg.
• Consultation and information: The cluster offers independent and free information and advice to promote photovoltaic development in all regions of Baden-Württemberg. It works closely with the KEA Climate Protection and Energy Agency Baden-Württemberg to support regional photovoltaic networks.
• Research and innovation: The Solar Cluster is involved in various research projects, such as the "APV crop cultivation" project, which examines whether agro-PV can protect apple crop cultivation from weather events and how PV plants affect yields.

The main mission of the Solar Cluster Baden-Württemberg is to accelerate the expansion of solar energy in Baden-Württemberg and to develop the legal framework for the further expansion of renewable energies.

• Climate protection: The Solar Cluster is actively engaged in achieving the climate protection goals of Baden-Württemberg through the use of photovoltaics. It promotes the use of solar energy at various levels, including the use of parking roofs and agri-PV, in order to reduce surface competition and make more areas usable for photovoltaics.
• Regional photovoltaic networks: The cluster supports the regional photovoltaic networks in order to promote photovoltaic development in all twelve regions of Baden-Württemberg.
• Public roofs: It is committed to the development of public roofs for photovoltaics in order to exploit the immense potential of already sealed areas and to accelerate photovoltaic development.

• Special events: The Solar Cluster regularly organises special events and workshops to inform and discuss current issues such as agri-PV, parking space roofs and the development of photovoltaics on public roofs.[1]
• Presence: It participates in international fairs such as the Intersolar Internationale to represent the solar energy industry in Baden-Württemberg and to establish new business contacts.

The Solar Cluster Baden-Württemberg e.V. is thus a central player in the solar energy sector, which through its diverse activities and initiatives contributes significantly to the success of the solar energy transition in Baden-Württemberg.
