About Selbstverwaltetes Jugendzentrum Fechenheim e.V.
editThe Selbstverwaltetes Jugendzentrum Fechenheim e.V. is an institution active in Frankfurt-Fechenheim since 1974, dedicated to the promotion of children and young people. The association offers a wide range of services aimed at supporting the development of young people and providing them with a safe and stimulating place.
A central component of the youth center is the "café connect", an open meeting place for children and young people aged 10 to 18. Here they can exchange ideas, make contacts and participate in various activities.
In addition, the youth center operates a crèche, which offers childcare places for children aged 1 to 3 years. The crèche sees itself as a family-complementing facility and attaches importance to enabling children to have diverse experiences in a group. The aim is to promote the personality of the children, strengthen their social skills and educate them to be independent and self-confident personalities. The pedagogical work is based on the situational approach and takes into account the individual needs and interests of the children.
Another important element of the youth center is the music area. Here is a rehearsal room, which is used by various bands, including the traditional house bands Fishbone Trash and Game Over. The rehearsal room offers young musicians the opportunity to live out their creativity and develop musically.
The Selbstverwaltetes Jugendzentrum Fechenheim e.V. aims to provide children and young people with a place where they can feel comfortable, develop and grow. The association attaches importance to an open and participatory way of working, in which the needs and interests of young people are the focus. Through its diverse offerings, the youth center contributes to enriching social life in Fechenheim and shaping the future of young people in a positive way.
