Climate protection: By returning used clothing to the cycle, Recyclehero saves 15 kilograms of CO₂ per kilogram of used clothing. The goal is to avoid new productions and reduce CO₂ emissions[3][4].
Circular economy: Recyclehero is working to create a local circular economy in which textiles and other valuable materials remain in use for as long as possible. The collected used clothing is passed on to second-hand stores and aid organizations such as Hanseatic Help[2][4].
Social projects: In addition to the Wärmbert project, which provides homeless individuals with hot water bottles, the startup is also involved in the Fight Fast Fashion project to educate students about the impacts of the fast fashion industry[2][3].

Expansion and future

Recyclehero plans to expand its service to other cities such as Hanover and Munich and, in the medium term, to address the waste problem in more cities through franchising. Each city is to receive a suitable, location-specific solution[2]. Additionally, the offering is continuously being expanded to collect more valuable materials such as electronic waste and thus further improve the infrastructure[2].
