editPYDRO GmbH is an award-winning clean-tech start-up based in Rostock and Hamburg. Founded in 2016 by Mulundu Sichone and Felix M., the company is based on a highly ambitious bachelor's thesis. Our team brings over 40 years of multidisciplinary experience in engineering, industrial design, marketing, and product development.
Key Products and Services
editPYDRO develops and offers a comprehensive system of energy-autonomous sensors and valves, as well as a cloud-based software solution. The centerpiece of our offering is the self-powered, smart turbine flow meter, which generates its energy from the water flow in the pipelines and stores it in an internal battery. This system enables wireless real-time data transmission via LTE CAT M1, NB IoT, and 2G and integrates multiple sensors for flow, pressure, and temperature.
Our offering includes a turnkey solution for 24/7 monitoring of water networks, starting with an initial consultation and data assessment, hydraulic modeling calculations and validations, the development of a strategy for flexible zoning, and the installation of monitoring and process management software for active water loss management[1][2][4].

editOur mission is to minimize water losses and save energy to contribute to sustainable water supply. With global population growth and economic development, the demand for fresh water is increasing worldwide. Every year, water supply companies in urban areas lose about 8.77 billion euros due to leaking pipes. Our solutions aim to create intelligent water networks that enable providers to identify leaks, better serve customers, and conserve water[1][2].
