The pad gGmbH, which emerged from the association "pad e.V. - Parents, Children and Youth Against Drug Abuse," has developed into a comprehensive social service provider since its founding in spring 1990. Today, over 370 employees are engaged at more than 50 locations in six key areas:

• Child Day Care: Offers for children from early age until school entry, including early support and parent-child groups.
• Family: Counseling and support for families, including parenting advice, family midwives, and events for all family members.
• School & Delinquency: Measures for prevention and intervention in school and delinquent contexts.
• Youth: Programs and offers for young people, such as open meetings, employment measures, and cultural activities.
• Work & Addiction: Support for integration into the labor market and overcoming addiction problems.
• Democracy: Promotion of democratic values and participation in social processes.

The pad gGmbH is independent of religious and political affiliations and pursues exclusively charitable and benevolent purposes. Its mission is to accompany and support people in various life situations, based on acceptance of different life concepts and the appreciation of each individual's uniqueness. The organization empowers and motivates to enable development opportunities and provides advisory and understanding support.

The pad gGmbH is committed to long-term and sustainable solutions that improve people's quality of life. By engaging with local communities and collaborating with various partners, it ensures that the services are tailored to needs and effective. Examples include the multi-generational houses, such as the "Haus am Akaziengrund" in Berlin-Marzahn, which offers a wide range of activities for all age groups and prevents social isolation.
