
Naturschutzgroßprojekt Thüringer Kuppenrhön gGmbH (NGP Thüringer Kuppenrhön) is a nature conservation project launched in 2020. Its mission is to counteract the decline of valuable habitats and species by developing areas under nature conservation aspects and promoting sustainable land use within the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhön. The project area spans 4,863 hectares in southwest Thuringia, including a 112-kilometer segment of the National Natural Monument "Grünes Band Thüringen." The gGmbH receives support and funding from federal, state, and local authorities to actively combat biodiversity loss.
