Münchner Aids-Hilfe E.V.

The Münchner Aids-Hilfe e.V. was founded in January 1984 as the first regional Aids support organization in Germany. From its beginnings in gay self-help, it has developed into a comprehensive professional and interest association that occupies a central place in Munich's social and health services.

The Münchner Aids-Hilfe sees itself as an advocate for people with HIV and the main affected groups. The goal is to spread knowledge about HIV and protection against it, to strengthen the identity of people affected by HIV, and to promote self-determined and informed decision-making. The organization advocates for an open, accepting society and works on the destigmatization of HIV, AIDS, and non-heterosexual lifestyles as well as non-cisgender identities[2][4].

The Münchner Aids-Hilfe remains actively engaged in society, for example through the sale of the Aids Teddy, which raises funds, and by participating in events like Pink Christmas.
