Mühlstraße eV

The Mühlstraße 14 e.V. is a socio-cultural district centre in the heart of Leipzig-Reudnitz/Thonberg. For over 30 years, the association has been committed to the social and cultural development of the district and offers a diverse range of activities and services for people of all generations.

• Open Meetings: The association runs various open meetings, including a youth meeting, a family meeting, a 50+ meeting and a senior meeting, which serve as central points of contact for social interaction and community.
• Courses and workshops: Numerous courses and workshops are offered, such as creative courses, dance, photography, ceramics workshops and jewellery workshops, which combine cultural-artistic and social-educational aspects.
• Family and children's activities: Open parent-child meetings, crawling groups, parent-child playgroups, movement games and family afternoons are just some examples of the extensive activities for families and children.
• Cultural events: Concerts, theatre performances, readings, parties and exhibitions are held regularly to promote the cultural diversity of the district.
• Spatial rental: The association offers spaces for festivals and celebrations and hires interns.

The main mission of Mühlstraße 14 e.V. is to promote social and cultural activities that counteract social withdrawal and the avoidance of public communication. The association advocates the integration and participation of all population groups and promotes projects across generations and genres. The values of the association are based on openness, inclusion, social responsibility and cultural diversity.

• Inclusive projects: The association develops innovative projects every year that involve people of all generations and backgrounds. Examples of this are the Fairy Tale Festival, the participatory Collagen Calendar 2025 and the project "Erzähl mir, Leipzig Leipzig, hör zu", which was awarded for its exemplary work.
• Social support: Mühlstraße 14 is a place for the Leipzig help point of the Leipzig Municipal Prevention Council, which offers help and safety to all affected people.
• Donation campaigns and support: The association regularly carries out donation campaigns and is supported by various donations and partners in order to continue its work.

The association is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary and has launched a donation campaign to support its future projects. In addition, the association offers special events such as the annual fairy tale festival and the open ceramic workshop, which due to the high demand from January 2024 is only possible with registration.

The Mühlstraße 14 e.V. is a living example of social and cultural engagement in Leipzig and offers a diverse and inclusive community for all.
