MINTforum Hamburg

The National MINT Forum is a unique interest group that has been committed to promoting and strengthening education in the fields of Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, and Technology (MINT) in Germany since 2012. Founded on the initiative of acatech and the BDA/BDI initiative "Creating the Future of MINT", the forum brings together the expertise and commitment of over 30 institutions, including scientific institutions, foundations, professional associations, university alliances, and other civil society actors.

The main mission of the National MINT Forum is to strengthen the entire MINT education chain, from early childhood to school, vocational, and academic education, as well as lifelong learning. The forum believes that MINT education is the foundation for the jobs of the future and is therefore essential for all children and young people. It serves as a national voice for concrete recommendations and educational policy measures to improve the quality and impact of MINT education[2][4].

• Working Groups and Recommendations: The forum operates various working groups that address specific topics in MINT education and develop educational policy recommendations as well as common quality standards.
• Networking: It promotes the exchange and cooperation among various MINT actors to initiate and support joint projects and initiatives.
• National MINT Summit: Annually, the forum organizes the National MINT Summit to discuss current fields of action in MINT education and explore implementation options with top representatives from politics and administration[4].

The National MINT Forum is committed to sustainable and comprehensive promotion of MINT education. This includes:
