About Michaels Hof GmbH

Michaels Hof GmbH is a socio-educational institution of independent child and youth welfare, dedicated to the holistic education of children and adolescents from an admission age of 3 years. The facility offers 32 full-time places in five residential groups, in each of which four educational specialists guarantee intensive care.

The Michaels Hof pursues the mission of providing children and adolescents with an environment of unconditional acceptance in which they can develop and flourish positively. The pedagogical work is based on respect for the individual personality and the right of every child to have their strengths promoted and their challenges overcome.

The offer includes various therapeutic services, including art therapy, remedial education as well as equine therapy and animal-assisted pedagogy. Of particular note is the equine therapy, which uses the farm's own horses to promote psychosocial behaviors and reduce deficits in the motor and cognitive areas. Animal-assisted pedagogy integrates contact with various animals into the daily life of the groups in order to enable the assumption of responsibility and affection.

In addition to the residential groups, the Michaels Hof also offers "Assisted Living" and apartments to prepare young people for independent living. The young people are individually accompanied and supported by educational specialists.

The Michaels Hof attaches importance to a comprehensive equipment of the residential groups, each of which has single rooms, living room, kitchen and other rooms. A spacious outdoor area with play facilities, a soccer field and a fire pit offers space for leisure activities and community experiences.
