The LWL-Jugendhilfezentrum Marl is one of the three youth welfare institutions of the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL). It offers a variety of Hilfen zur Erziehung (assistance with upbringing) for children, adolescents and families at various locations in the Ruhr area and Münsterland. These offers include inpatient, day-care and outpatient measures that are tailored to the individual needs of children and adolescents [1][3].

The center strives for an environmentally friendly orientation by establishing an Umweltmanagementsystems (environmental management system) in accordance with EMAS.
